Our Story

Why we do business this way

AGTL is a Dar es Salaam–based trading house dealing in refined and raw copper products and East African agricultural commodities.

We are a newly established company. That means we compete on the things a buyer can verify from the first enquiry: a clear specification, an independent Certificate of Analysis, inspection access before loading, and a straight answer on what we can and cannot supply.

Our position in Vingunguti Industrial Area places us close to the port of Dar es Salaam and to the corridors that bring copper out of the DRC and Zambian copperbelts. For agricultural commodities, we work with established regional supply chains across Tanzania and the wider East African region.

If a shipment is outside what we can honestly deliver on time and to specification, we will tell you at the enquiry stage rather than at the loading stage.

How We Operate

Three principles, stated as obligations

Not adjectives — each one describes something we are expected to do on every enquiry.

Transparency

A clear written specification and a straight answer on what we can and cannot supply — rather than an inflated claim that unravels at loading.

Documentation

Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Origin and the shipment document set handled as part of the trade, not as an afterthought.

Reliability

We commit only to lots we can realistically source, document and load to the agreed timeline.

Why Dar es Salaam

The port advantage, in practical terms

For copper originating in the DRC and Zambia, Dar es Salaam is one of the shortest practical routes to deep water — and it is a port we operate beside every day.

Copperbelt corridors

Road and rail corridors connect the Zambian and DRC copperbelts to Dar es Salaam, making it a practical export point for cathode, concentrate and ore.

Deep-water handling

The port handles both containerised and bulk cargo, so FCL cathode parcels and bulk concentrate move through the same facility.

Agricultural base

Tanzania and its neighbours supply cloves, cardamom, cotton, sugar and oilseed products — consolidated and documented locally before shipment.
